Beach Wheelchairs

Cleveland Metroparks has all-terrain beach wheelchairs available for individuals who require mobility assistance at the beach.  With two large balloon rear wheels and 360 degree front casters, the beach wheelchair will allow you to glide across sandy beaches, a nearly impossible task for conventional wheelchairs.

Beach wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge on a first come, first served basis when lifeguards are on duty.   Users are required to provide their name, address, and phone number.

Beach wheelchairs may be used anywhere on the beach that is open to the public and supervised by lifeguard staff. Users may use non-approved flotation devices in addition to U.S. Coast Guard approved lifejackets.
