Join us for a two-day workshop to learn wilderness first aid skills from experts in the field. Designed specifically for groups and their leaders, the workshop stresses preparedness for first aid emergencies when help is an hour or more away. Classroom lectures and discussions will be combined with hands-on experiences in the field. The curriculum includes assessment and treatment of specific injuries, long term patient care and more. Mock rescues will be practiced in the field allowing participants to practice skills learned in class. Scout leaders are encouraged to attend as this course meets the Boy Scouts of America requirements for backcountry training.
Late fee applies after April 18.
