Q. When is this year’s Beer at the Pier?
A. The Inaugural Beer at the Pier will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
Q. Proceeds from the event will help support Cleveland Metroparks Trails Fund. What is the Trail Fund?
A. Cleveland Metroparks trail system is one of the region’s greatest assets and includes more than 270 miles of trails throughout the Park District’s nearly 23,000 acres. Approximately 70% of park visitors have indicated that trails are the primary reason they visit one of Cleveland Metroparks reservations.
Cleveland Metroparks Trails Fund supports rehabilitation of the Park District’s extensive trail system. Natural trail improvements will meet sustainable standards to minimize natural resource impact and maintenance while maximizing user enjoyment.
Trail Fund donations are also a meaningful way to honor a special runner, hiker or biker while helping to conserve and enhance Cleveland Metroparks. For more information, visit the Trails Fund.
Q. Where is Beer at the Pier taking place?
A. Beer at the Pier will take place at Cleveland Metroparks Edgewater Park:

Q. What time do gates open?
A. Gates open at 2 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 3 p.m. for General Admission.
Q. What time is Last Call?
A. Last sampling call is 6:45 p.m. Event participants must exit the fenced in grounds area by 7 p.m.
Q. Is there parking available?
A. Free parking is available at Edgewater Park.
Q. How do I buy tickets?
A. Tickets may be purchased through our safe-online hosted website.
Q. What does General Admission ticket get you?
A. General Admission Ticket gets you 25 two-ounce samples from the breweries, a brewery checklist, live music, a variety of food for purchase from local food trucks and recreation exhibitors.
Q. What does the VIP ticket get you?
A. VIP Admission Ticket gets you early admission at 2 p.m. for a meet-n-greet with brewers, additional samples, snacks provided, plus everything included with the General Admission ticket. You must pay for a VIP ticket in advanced.
Q. Who can attend Beer at the Pier?
A. You must be 21 years of age to attend the event with a purchased ticket. No children or pets are allowed into the event.
Q. What happens if it rains?
A. Beer at the Pier will take place rain or shine.
Q. What about Designated Drivers?
A. Designated Drivers are more than welcome to attend Beer at the Pier. Designated Drivers must be 21 years of age or older. Designated Drivers tickets are $20 and may be purchased through our safe-online hosted website. The Designated Drivers ticket also includes a $5 food voucher and 3 beverage tickets (water or soda). Designated Drivers are allowed in the VIP lounge including the 2 p.m. early admission.
Q. Will there be food?
A. Guests may purchase food from local food trucks on site.
Q. Will there be souvenirs and memorabilia available for purchase?
A. Most breweries will have merchandise and novelties for sale.
Q. Do I need to bring my ID?
A. We are required to check IDs for all guests who enter Beer at the Pier. Valid Photo ID required.
Q. Why would a brewery run out of beer?
A. Beer at the Pier has many beers to sample, if a particular beer is overly popular, a brewery could run out.
Q. Can I re-enter the premise after leaving?
A. Beer at the Pier has a no re-entry policy.
Q. Can I smoke at this event?
Q. How will you deal with overly intoxicated guests?
A. Guests are asked to drink responsibly. Any guests that Cleveland Metroparks believes is causing a disturbance will be asked to leave by Cleveland Metroparks Rangers without a refund.
Q. Can I bring my own food or drinks into Beer at the Pier?
A. Beer at the Pier will have plenty of food and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase, guests are not allowed to bring their own food and drinks into the festival.
Q. What else is there to do at the event?
A. Guests can enjoy live music, a variety of food for purchase from local food trucks, recreation exhibitors and a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere with a view of the Cleveland skyline.
Q. What if I drive to your event, but don't think I should drive home afterwards?
A. Guests are asked to drink responsibly. Cars cannot be left overnight and guests should make arrangements to get home safely.
