Cleveland Metroparks gratefully acknowledges the McGowan/Henderson family for their support of Branching Out. This gift will fund reforestation in Cleveland Metroparks now and in the future.
In appreciation of the McGowan/Henderson family’s support of Branching Out, Cleveland Metroparks planted a white flowering dogwood tree on the path leading to the Blue Heron Trail (near CanalWay Visitor Center) in Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation in memory of Jo, Bill, Jim and Jane McGowan. Frequent walks and bike rides in Cleveland Metroparks Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation have made it a very special place to members of the McGowan/Henderson family.
With regard to this gift, Janis McGowan recently shared, "Planting the tree and contributing to future plantings serves as both a memorial and way to express our appreciation of the amazing park system while helping to ensure its vitality and future for all to enjoy."
